Polyurock Model Material
Polyurock is a dual component model resin from Metalor. It offers excellent mechanical properties for full or partial models. When the base and catalyst are mixed, Polyurock fills even the smallest interstices of impressions, including sharp edges. After 24 hours of curing, the model is smooth, shiny and stable with negligible shrinkage or expansion. High hardness value (80-83 Shore D) and strong intermolecular cohesion bonds produce models that are less affected by shock impact from bench work and during transportation. It’s perfect for implant work because of the accuracy and toughness of the material. It mixes, cuts and grinds without the odour of epoxy. Polyurock is compatible with alginates, hydrocolloids, various types of silicones, and many other impression materials. Polyurock release spray is also available and should be used with polyethers (Impregum), vinyl polysiloxanes, thioelastomers, metals (posts, implants, attachments), and plastics (burn-out posts, Zeiser plates, Model Trays, etc.). Polyurock is supplied in a ready-to-use compact kit. To get started, make sure to order the easy-to-use hand mixer for thorough mixing and controlled pouring. In addition to stark white, Polyurock can be coloured as the technician wishes. The four basic colours (black, yellow, red and blue) can be combined to achieve an infinite colour range from ivory to dark grey. Due to its hardness and shiny appearance, Polyurock is also an ideal material for making demonstration models.

Galileo™ Wax System
Talladium’s Galileo™ waxing system gives technicians an efficient and predictable way of waxing in the dental laboratory. The following components of the system have been proven and ensure a profitable way for waxing. Galileo™ Pressable Wax is translucent and ash-free. Similar to our modeling wax, it is an exceptional wax for pressable crowns, inlays and frameworks. The chatter-free carvability creates smooth contours for the most intricate work. Its ‘Bone’ colour along with high translucency makes this wax perfect for high-esthetic diagnostic wax-ups. Galileo™ Dip Pot locks in precision, accuracy and efficiency. The Dip Pot electronically controls the thickness of dipped wax copings as thin as 0.2mm. It also maintains desired temperature within 1 degree, with a range of 86°-248°F. The LED digital readout displays the temperature setting and stores it in memory even after the unit is turned off. The lead-in bevel design ensures excess wax drops run back into the pot. The uniform wax thickness reduces metal finishing time. The composite exterior housing provides a cool surface to support the right or left hand against the unit for uniform dips. Galileo™ Dip Pot Wax is not just a dipping wax, but also a perfect margin wax all in one. Its high chroma and value make it easy to identify thick and thin areas. It is an ash-free wax with a melting temperature of 165°F. You can dip, seal the margin, hot trim the skirt away and carve in 3 minutes! The dipping wax is available in green and yellow. Galileo Sculpturing Wax can be used for creating ceramic frameworks with ease. It has a unique stacking characteristic that stacks like porcelain for more control. Blue and Green are the colours available in 2.5oz tins. Galileo™ Modeling Wax has great carvability for clean, detailed contouring. Both waxes can be used for creating crowns, inlays and onlays. Beige, ‘Electric Green’ and Green are the colours available in 2.5oz tins. Galileo™ Margin Wax is an excellent ash-free margin wax. It has great stability and will not cause stress or strain to the wax that it’s applied to. It has been designed with extremely low shrinkage for marginal accuracy. Blue, Rose & Yellow are available in 2.5oz tins. Galileo™ Blockout Wax is easy to apply and adheres tremendously to die stone. The Blue Wax has great carvability for smooth contouring. It has a high melting temperature so it will not be affected or distort when other waxes are applied over it.

ABF Dental Waxes
Several waxes comprise the line of Metalor ABF Waxes. The different properties of the waxes allow for many applications. The waxes are shiny and dense after carving with no residue remaining on the surface after heating. The unique ‘snap-top’ design makes using ABF Wax containers easy to use. ABF Universal Wax (#400003474), as the name implies, is an excellent general purpose blue modeling wax. Use for the construction of occlusal surfaces, coronal walls, and reconstructing parts of bridges. Working temperature is 65°C. ABF Special Grey Wax (#400003480) is ideal for applications where a neutral colour is desired for good visual control. Special wax has a texture that is suited for easy modeling. Use for pressable ceramic systems where these properties and residue-free benefits are important. Working temperature is 66°C. ABF Margin Wax (#400003473) is red and is used for the first layer of a coping and secondary components of milled work. It establishes greater stability at the marginal edges, ensuring a greater degree of precision of the coping. Working temperature is 67°C. ABF Creativ Light & Dark Wax provides colouring (Light) and shade contrasting in fissures (Dark). Both of these waxes remain opaque in the liquid state. It is the perfect choice for demonstrating and diagnostic purposes. The Creativ Light wax is beige (#400003475) and the Creativ Dark wax is brown (#400003476). Both have a working temperature of 66°C. ABF Techno Wax (#400003477) is an extra-hard green wax for milling operations that require high abrasion resistance on the edges. Recommended for rotating instruments and thermal probes. The working temperature is 64°C.

Alloy Casting Flux
By applying Metalor’s casting fluxes, oxidization of an alloy during melting is avoided. You just glaze the crucible with the flux and it yields excellent, clean results. There are two types of casting fluxes that are available, depending on the type of alloy you are casting: Boric Acid is a high fusing flux for all casting alloys with a solidus temperature greater than 1000°C / 1832°F. As a general rule, Boric Acid is recommended for use with bonding alloys. Borax is a melting flux for all casting alloys with a solidus temperature less than 1000°C / 1832°F. Borax is typically recommended for use with ‘crown & bridge’ alloys.

Soldering Flux
V-Flux is a liquid soldering flux for furnace soldering of casting or bonding alloys post-ceramic. V-Flux is easy to apply to the soldering joint. Its high viscosity helps keep the soldering rods in position. V-Flux will not spread over adjacent porcelain surfaces during heating. Fluxor is a paste flux for the open flame soldering of all precious dental alloys. During heating, Fluxor solidifies at a comparatively low temperature. With increasing temperatures the crystals transform into a viscous cover, providing complete protection from oxidization. In addition, Fluxor will aid in the disoxidation of casting alloys. Solflux is flux for soldering of non-precious to precious elements such as an extension to a framework or the addition of retention. Soflux is excellent for soldering precious metals to attachments, milled secondary parts on a framework base or orthodontic work. Stopor is a Zirconia based anti-flux paste. Stopor limits the spread of liquid solder to the immediate vicinity of the joint, thus contamination of attachment and occlusal surfaces is prevented. By applying Stopor to soldering joints in the vicinity of the porcelain, discolouration is avoided. Stopor is excellent in covering oxidation-sensitive medium and low-precious metal alloys. Grinding and polishing time of the surfaces is thus greatly reduced.

Aurofilm 2000 & NP Gold Paste
Aurofilm from Metalor is a unique, easy-to-apply product to increase the esthetics on either precious or non-precious reconstructions. Aurofilm 2000 is formulated of 99.99% pure gold particles suspended in an organic liquid. When applied to precious or semi-precious frameworks of PFM restorations, Aurofilm 2000 eliminates graying at margins and at other areas where the porcelain layer may be too thin to adequately hide the darkness of underlying metal. It also brings out the natural vibrancy of porcelain shades and can enhance porcelain-to-metal bonding. Aurofilm NP is also a highly pure gold product (>99.95%) that is specifically formulated for use on CrCo and NiCr Base metals. Aurofilm 2000 and NP are supplied as ready-to-use pastes. They are applied with a dry brush and then fired in a standard porcelain furnace (please refer to the instructions for each product). During the firing, the gold particles become sintered onto the alloy to form an evenly distributed and secure gold coating. No costly or specialized equipment is required for achieving the brilliant yellow, pure gold coating obtained with Aurofilm 2000 and NP.
